{ 1 } be(come) my follower
{ 2 } tell me about your greatest getaway, what do you do there and why this place is so precious!
and before you start picking and dreaming, here's a word from the creative man behind the lense... i give you Tim!
~~
LC: when did you start photographing and what was your first object?
Tim: I began photography with a Kodak Brownie when I was 9. I've attached a picture of me taken by my father with the camera. My first subject was my mother.
~~
LC: how do you feel you have developed in your profession since you started?
Tim: I think I'm still developing and changing as a photographer. My work is becoming less complex and more about contrast and form.
~~
LC: ever photographed anyone famous? who or what is your absolute dream object to shoot?
Famous people, no not me. I do photograph dancers, ballet and flamenco. My dream object to photograph is a tame crow or any big black bird that will keep still.
~~
LC: what is your biggest inspiration source?
I look at art a lot. I visit exhitions whenever I can, I'm inspired by other artists.
~~
LC: now to the technical stuff... what's camera, lense and software do you use to create such amazing photoes?
My photographs rely on bokeh (blur) and grain, this is easier to achieve using film cameras. My everyday cameras are a 35mm rangefinder and a Rolleiflex. I use color slide film that I have developed and scanned. Finally, I use Photoshop to prepare the images for printing.
thank you Tim and now, my friends, start picking and writing! last date to enter is sunday 16th of august.

My favorite getaway is in the hills of Himachal in India. I grew up there, went to boarding school there and spent summers on our family's fruit orchard. There's a peacefulness that I find there and no where else, a place where I can forget about stress, worries and go back to just enjoying the awesome beauty of nature. Of hearing the birds, of the crunch of pine needles underfoot, of noticing a sky full of stars. It's a wonderful place to be and I always come back refreshed.

Great idea for a giveaway!
My favorite getaway was to Costa Rica with my wife for our honeymoon. Lots of adventures...and misadventures, but fun! I planned everything and we never stayed at any "package deal" type places. Everything was more or less off the beaten path. I still miss the coffee and fresh fruit for breakfast every morning!
I just came across your blog for the first time the other day. I love the Keemah Boardwalk in Texas. Tim Irving is one of my favorite sellers on etsy. I heart: High Tide and Old Desert Windpump. Thanks for having such a great giveway. I can't wait to continue following your blog.
I follow you and my greatest getaway was to the Cayman Islands where my husband and I went snorkling and zip lining! just amazing...here are my choices, hard choice! i love The Embrace, French Cherry Tree - 10x8 Inch Fine Art Photograph Signed (trees are one decor item we actually agree on!) he would love this...and I also LOVE the Lone Parent elephant artwork.
congrats on liviaConcept's first giveaway! :)

Oh my gosh, I'm losing it... ignore my last comment!! I got my emails confused. But, now that I'm here, I'd looove to win one of these beauties:) xx
Love the Ferris wheel! My favorite get a way is to Virgin Gorda in the B.V.I it is one of the last remaining Caribbean Islands that has been left untouched by tourism. Crystal waters, world class surfing, great food, great people and virtually your own private beach in certain areas. The hubbs and I spent 2 days on a 2 mile stretch of beach completely alone. It was as if we were the two people on earth. Now we know what is feels like.
I thought I had entered this but I guess not . . . I don't think I can name one place. For me, the best getaway is always somewhere new, somewhere I've never been before!
