Heimtextil

I am just very very happy! Laying on my coach, having flu is not fun, but I finally received my Heimtextil fair catalogue today! Now I can start planning my first international fair.

My plan is to get in touch with suppliers of home textiles, and start designing my first LiviaConcept collection. I'm so excited!

Swedish kitchens

Back in Sthlm after one week of eating and resting. It is so nice to be back home again, and even work feels nice. Only problem is that I catched a flu, so I think I need to stay at home a couple more days.

But no worries, now I have time to plan my new kitchen! I started to destroy my kitchen walls for some time ago, and now I need ideas what to do next. I'm thinking about just painting the walls, since there is not much water running to the walls anyway... but here is some ideas if I decide to do something else...

I love surfing at Hemnet and looking for some ideas how to fix homes. I always find so many nice houses I'd like to buy, but I must wait a while now.

Finnish prints are cool

I always like screening new prints and fabrics, and Finnish designers do it very well. As Marimekko is one of the oldest and most traditional ones, there are plenty of new designers coming up. Finns like retro, a lot of prints from 50's to 70's and I think this trend has been going on for a while now. Marimekko's new line for 08-09 features some prints from the 60's. Very sweet! wonderful bedrooms

Since it is holiday time and everyone is at home, resting, eating and spending quality time with families I just think about bedrooms and nice stuff that could make my home even nicer. These bedrooms just look so divine![pics by LivingEtc]

My favourite stuff in the whole word are candle holders. The bigger the better. Silver and gold ones are my true favourites.

Christmas in Helsinki

Sweet decorated Stockmann windows. I love the colors and beautiful stuff! Helsinki Dome was amazing too. It just snowed yesterday, and the city is all crispy and beautiful.

small places

Today I visited a friend's place in the central Helsinki, where I am spending my Christmas holiday eating mum's great food. I am so happy to walk around in Helsinki again, it's beautiful (weather is bad as usually) and very decorated. Tomorrow I will take my camera out to the town to take some nice pictures.

But, my friend's place. It is a 15 sqm home, and two persons living there :) I was very impressed by the way they have organized, specially when it comes to closets. Here are some closet ideas.

LiviaConcept is inspired - big time -

For quite some time I have been surfing in and out of blogs and finding inspiration for my project LiviaConcept. The project is ongoing start-new-business thing, something I have been working on for about 6 months now, parallel with my 'real' job within IT. Soon I will be heading to Frankfurt for Heimtextil, I cannot wait!!
