asia baby asia

Where I used to live...

Today after work my friend took me to this marvellous shop in Sthlm, Dis. It's an interior design shop for people who love Asian influenced lovable things. And I do that. As I used to live in Shanghai, the most exciting city in the whole world, I love the Asian beautiful decor. The drama of silks, flowers and dark wood is fantastic. Prepare for some dazzling pictures!

Isn't it just fantastic? I love the lilac, it's just so peaceful and glamorous.

turning 30 with style

Since I am turning 30 in couple of weeks, and I like celebrating my bithdays with style, my friends picked this place for my big night. Being a big fan of purple I really love the interiors of this place. They could not have picked nicer place for my birthday dinner I think! And flying to London to meet my fabulous friends is just the best thing ever! This bar is quite new, located on 21/22 Warwick Street, London, and voted as 'Best New Bar' in 2007. Lovely!

This pretty little coffee table is a vintage finding from a little store in Sthlm. I bought it for cheap and painted vintage white. I love candle holders so I always buy those when ever I travel. The decorated eggs are from Kuala Lumpur. The Arabia Paradise bowl belonged to my parents. The disco pig is a gift from my friend in London. The golden candelabra is also a gift.

This angel candle holder I bought at Sthlm Vintage Fair this autum.
Tea pot from Beijing.

white shelves

First day at work after a long holiday. It's always nice to be back in business again, and do some brainwork again. While I am struggling with my computer stuff I still have some time for getting inspired. Here is a lovely picture of a sunny house featured in Homes and Gardens. I love the combination of white, light gray, lilac and green. It creates very airy feeling. I know that IKEA sells similar shelves, the old style white ones.

I-Caught-the-Asia-Bug {John Robshaw}

Today I'm back again loving colourful prints. The NY designer John Robshaw's prints are the perfect objects of my desire. His mission is to create original, handcrafted textiles from around the world. John Robshaw Textiles employs traditional printing, dying and weaving techniques, while reinterpreting them in ways that respect the integrity of the method to create original textiles. As he discovers the world he also supports craftsmen and artisans worldwide. Go here to admire his beautiful designs!

metallics and vodka

This weekend has been absolutely fantastic. As I recovered from the serious (...) flu, I also got a surprise visit from London. My lovely, beautiful friend Anna stayed with me this weekend before going back home to UK. I cooked for my friend, we had some wine and vodka tonics and stayed out in town until late. Pleasure as usual! I'm fortunate to be able to visit her and other friends in London in one month.

I also did some re-arrangements at my home. I am so inspired by these metallic tones seen on LivingEtc. I love the drama of gold and dark colours, and the pureness of silver and white. I'd like to find the similar white coach as seen on the 4th picture. There is a fantastic antique store close to Fridhemsplan, Sthlm, where they sell old furniture for no money at all. I bought 2 antique coffee tables for 150 crona each, and painted them; one is white and the other one is black. Very pretty :)

pretty wall decor

It's been fantastic couple of days here in Sthlm. Although I've been at home with flu I've done a lot fun stuff. Yesterday I gave my entire flat a super cleaning and organized a lot o my stuff. I also sat down with my pearl colection and made some new arm candies. Nice work!

I'd like to get some more wall decorations and came across these lovely things on Etsy. I must order some of these, I just cannot choose...

These artists really inspire me to decorate my walls. I'm sure some of my family members also would love to have some of these beauties. Here is a Swedish illustrator who makes pretty designs. I love Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle and Dior's Miss Dior Cherié.

I like colourful homes just as much as I like white homes. I'd like to add some of these colours to my appartment.

This pillow by Liselotte Watkins for H&M home collection is fantastic. H&M home is about to open the online store in the beginning of 2009, let's see what nice things they have for us. Other low price home stores I absolutely love is Zara home. I'm happy to visit London in the beginning of February, just to visit my favourite store again. We don't have Zara home in Sthlm, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time (I hope..)

Here is a smart and very pretty solution for shoes! I looove shoes, and as every shoe loving girl, I have a few pair of high heels in my home. I'd like have this in my hallway.
